BRIDGEVILLE, Pa. (AP) -- Specialty steel company Universal Stainless & Alloy Products Inc. on Wednesday named board member Dennis M. Oates chief executive to succeed founder Clarence M. McAninch. McAninch, 72, will stay on as chairman, the company said. Oates, 55, was also named president. Both appointments are effective Jan. 2. Oates replaces former President Kenneth Matz, who left Universal Stainless to pursue other opportunities. Oates previously served as senior vice president of specialty alloys operations for Carpenter Technology.
