SECAUCUS, N.J. (AP) -- The Children's Place Retail Stores Inc. said Wednesday it promoted its senior vice president of finance to the position of chief financial officer and principal accounting officer. The appointment of Richard Paradise, 45, was effective Dec. 6, after the company became current in all of its Securities and Exchange Commission filings, Children's Place said. Paradise joined the retailer in November and most recently served as vice president and chief financial officer of at American Standard Cos.' Bath & Kitchen division. Children's Place shares rose 31 cents to $28.61 in aftermarket trading, after falling 54 cents to $28.30 in the regular session.
