ATLANTA (AP) -- Real estate investment trust Cousins Properties Inc. said Tuesday it has formed a venture with Prudential Real Estate Investors to develop, own and operate an Atlanta office building. The expected construction cost is $172.5 million. The venture has a $138 million construction loan through Wells Fargo Bank. The planned building, called Terminus 200, is a 565,000-square-foot office building in the Buckhead district of Atlanta. Currently under construction, the building has already signed such tenants as Citigroup, CB Richard Ellis, Synovus and Cumulus Media. The building, part of a 10-acre mixed-use project, is expected to be complete by August 2009. Prudential Real Estate Investors is the real estate investment management and advisory buisness of Prudential Financial Inc. Cousins shares fell 53 cents to $24.27 in midday trading. Prudential Financial shares fell $1.39 to $95.75.
