ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Utility company Ameren Corp. said Monday it plans to reaffirm its 2007 earnings guidance of between $2.80 and $3.05 per share this week. The company also plans to reaffirm adjusted earnings of between $3.15 and $3.40 per share. The adjusted earnings exclude a negative impact of 9 cents per share from ice storms in January 2007; an estimated negative impact of 26 cents per share from a settlement agreement; a negative impact of 5 cents per share from a Federal Energy Regulatory Commission order; and a positive impact of 5 cents per share for the reversal of accruals made in 2006. Analysts polled by Thomson Financial, on average, estimate earnings of $3.36 per share. Analyst estimates typically exclude one-time, unusual items. Ameren will release third-quarter results Friday. Ameren serves about 2.4 million electric customers and nearly 1 million natural-gas customers in Missouri and Illinois.
