ATLANTA (AP) -- Real estate investment trust Cousins Properties Inc. said it will lease 284,000 square feet of office space in downtown Atlanta to the Georgia Department of Transportation. With the deal, Cousins Properties said it has leased 100 percent of One Georgia Center, a 27-story, 376,000-square-foot building. The building will serve as the Georgia Department of Transportation's new headquarters, consolidating three locations into one. Employees are scheduled to begin the move in early 2008. Shares of Cousins Properties Inc. fell 36 cents Friday to close at $29.89.
