NEW YORK (AP) -- King Pharmaceuticals Inc. said Tuesday it completed the sale of its Michigan sterile manufacturing facility and some of the products made there to JHP Pharmaceuticals LLC for about $93 million in cash. The drug company also is selling its related contract manufacturing business as part of the deal with JHP, a recently formed company that markets hospital- and clinic-based pharmaceuticals. The asset purchase agreement was announced July 16 and valued then at about $90 million. As of Oct. 1, all current employees at the Rochester manufacturing facility became JHP employees and from that date, JHP will market 12 of King's products. Shares of Bristol, Tenn.-based King fell 4 cents to $11.50.
