NEW YORK (AP) -- Jabil Circuit Inc. was among the stocks dragging the Standard & Poor's 500 Index lower on Friday. Shares of Jabil Circuit slipped $1.66, or 6.8 percent, to $22.84, after the electronics contract manufacturer's fiscal first-quarter outlook disappointed some analysts. Shares of Columbus, Ohio-based discount retailer Big Lots Inc. fell $1.26, or 4.1 percent, to $29.84. And McCormick & Co. declined $1.28, or 3.4 percent, to $35.97, extending the spice company's losses from Thursday. The S&P 5000 Index declined 4.63 points to 1,526.75. Among leaders on the index, shares of Dean Foods Co. gained $1.27, or 5.2 percent, to $25.58, after a Bernstein Research analyst launched coverage of the food maker with an "Outperform" rating. Shares of Harman International Industries Inc. jumped $3.47, or 4.2 percent, to $86.52, after a Bear Stearns analyst upgraded the audio equipment maker. Shares of Avon Products Inc., a New York-based cosmetics maker, rose $1.22, or 3.4 percent, to $37.53.
