HOUSTON (AP) -- Oil and gas company Eagle Rock Energy Partners L.P. said Monday that Eagle Rock Energy G&P LLC has named William A. Smith to its board of directors, effective Sept. 15. Smith, 63, is managing director and partner in Galway Group L.P., a Houston-based investment banking and energy advisory firm. Eagle Rock Energy G&P is the general partner of Eagle Rock's general partner. An oil and gas limited partnership, like Eagle Rock Energy Partners, is a partnership consisting of one or more limited partners and one or more general partners that is structured to find, extract and market commercial quantities of oil and natural gas. Shares of Eagle Rock Energy Partners fell 10 cents to close at $21.56.
