PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Exelon Corp.'s Pennsylvania utility provider, PECO Energy Co., named several top executives on Tuesday, including its chief executive and heads of finance and operations. Denis O'Brien, PECO's president, has been named CEO and an executive vice president of Exelon. Additionally, Phillip Barnett was named PECO's chief financial officer, Craig Adams has been named chief operating officer, Mary Ludford has become vice president of customer operations and Mark Alden is now vice president of gas operations. All of the executives have been selected from within Exelon or PECO ranks. Exelon had reported earlier in Securities and Exchange Commission filings that former PECO CEO John Skolds would retire from the company on Sept. 7. Shares rose $1.84, or 2.5 percent, to $75.23 in afternoon trading.
