NEW YORK (AP) -- A senior vice president of carpet and fabrics company Interface Inc. exercised options for 20,000 shares of common stock, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing. In a Form 4 filed with the SEC Monday, John R. Wells reported he exercised the options Thursday for $4.25 apiece and then sold all 20,000 of them on the same day for $18.25 to $18.28 apiece. Insiders file Form 4s with the SEC to report transactions in their companies' shares. Open market purchases and sales must be reported within two business days of the transaction. Interface is based in Atlanta, Ga.
