SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- Virtualization software maker VMware Inc. said Tuesday it acquired software company Dunes Technologies for an undisclosed sum. Dunes, which was founded in 2001, is based in Switzerland and has offices in Stamford, Conn. The announcement came at VMware's conference VMworld 2007. VMware shares rose 7 percent to $82.10 in morning trading.
