NEW YORK (AP) -- First Place Financial Corp. chief financial officer Paul S. Musgrove resigned from his post, the company reported in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. First Place, the holding company for First Place Bank, said Musgrove resigned on Thursday and his departure will be effective on Sept. 20. First Place and First Place Bank said they named David W. Gifford, 54, principal accounting officer and interim chief financial officer until a replacement is found for Musgrove. First Place shares added 29 cents to $17.16 in after-hours trading, after finishing regular trading down 33 cents at $16.87.
