PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Michael Baker Corp., which provides engineering and energy services, named its chief accounting officer and treasurer as its acting top finance officer Monday, after its chief financial officer resigned last week. The company appointed Craig Stuver, 46, acting chief financial officer to replace William Mooney, 56, who resigned Friday. Michael Baker said Mooney left to join Transfield Services North America as executive vice president and chief financial officer and will continue to advise the company on the potential divestiture of its energy segment. The board's audit committee is interviewing external and internal candidates as permanent replacements. Stuver has been senior vice president, corporate controller, treasurer and chief accounting officer since 2001. As acting chief financial officer, he will be responsible for the company's accounting, treasury and tax functions. Michael Baker shares rose 46 cents to $48.61 in after-hours trading. During the regular session earlier, shares lost 60 cents to $48.15.
