DALLAS (AP) -- Diversified industrial company Trinity Industries Inc. said Monday it has added accounting executive Leldon Echols to its board of directors. Echols has spent over 25 years in accounting positions and serves on the board of TXU Corp., where he is chairman of its audit committee. Echols was also chief financial officer of Centex Corp. from 2000 until 2006, when he retired. Before then, he spent 22 years with accounting firm Arthur Andersen LLP. "His extensive financial and regulatory reporting expertise will be a tremendous asset," said Timothy Wallace, Trinity's chairman, president and chief executive, in a statement. Trinity shares fell $1.24, or 3.4 percent, to $35.15 in midday trading.
