PARIS (AP) -- French hotel group Accor said Monday it completed its $1.3 billion sale of the Red Roof Inn chain to a private consortium.

Texas-based Red Roof Inn, with more than 325 locations nationwide, said in a separate statement that it will begin to evaluate potential locations for its new headquarters.

Accor had announced in April that its was selling the Red Roof chain to a group made up of Citigroup Inc.'s Global Special Situations Group and Westbridge Hospitality Fund LP.

Red Roof Inn's headquarters has been in Carrollton, Texas, since Accor acquired the company in 1999. It hopes to add up to 100 more employees at its new headquarters.

"We are moving forward with growth plans to develop Red Roof Inn into a national chain and will be developing and staffing a corporate office to meet our growth initiatives," said Joe Wheeling, chief executive officer of Red Roof Inn.
